From 1975 to 1999, the site that now hosts BALNEA was first a nature-based outdoor center. By bringing new life to this place, we chose to preserve what already made it so special: a vast, seemingly endless landscape, a calm lake, a lush forest, and a deeply soothing silence. The original buildings were fully revitalized, respecting their history and harmonizing with their surroundings. Since then, every development has followed the same guiding principle: to evolve without altering, and to innovate without compromising the balance of the environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Over the years, BALNEA has evolved into a thermal spa destination where guests are invited to reconnect with the natural rhythm of the elements. The facilities have been designed to encourage slowing down, contemplation, and mindful experience. More recently, new spaces have further enriched the journey: an infinity whirlpool bath offering unobstructed views of Lake Gale and the Appalachian Mountains, as well as a four-season relaxation room filled with light, warmth, and tranquility. Spaces created simply to savour the moment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nature also makes its way to the table. At Lumami restaurant, our team\u2019s inventive cuisine celebrates the freshness of seasonal ingredients, harvested directly from BALNEA\u2019s gardens. Since 2023, our chef has been drawing inspiration from the treasures grown on our market garden farm to create the daily menu. Be surprised by seasonal dishes with vibrant colours and exquisite flavours\u2014a true tribute to the surrounding nature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The BALNEA experience extends beyond the spa. On-site, Balnea Hotel (formerly Beatnik Hotel) is now fully part of the BALNEA ecosystem. Designed as a natural extension of the destination, it offers a place to settle in, explore, and unwind a little longer. Its development continues with the addition of new rooms, thoughtfully designed in the same respect for the landscape and the overall guest experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
